Photography has been a saving grace for me since being injured in the army. When I lost my ability to serve in the way I had before, I turned to photography as a way to express myself creatively and as a form of therapy. Through the lens, I found a new perspective and a way to capture the beauty in the world around me. Photography has allowed me to focus on something positive and uplifting, and has given me a new purpose in life. It has helped me heal emotionally and mentally, and has given me a sense of control and mastery over a new skill. I am grateful for the way photography has helped me to cope with my injury and to find joy and meaning in my life once again.
